Does time exist?

Does time exist? I gravely doubt it. But gosh, what should we do without it?

TIME – by Piet Hein

Isn’t time a strange concept?

I’ve noticed how I can get all worked up about “being out of time” as if it were something I could pile up and put into a vault to save for “later”.

As far as I can tell so far, none of us can say for certain how many days or hours we have left. So, let’s make the most of whatever time we have left.

Let’s stay awake and alive in each moment we’re alive.

How long is each moment?

How long is now?

  1. Well, I think time is just an illusion. Time is change. The change inside the body and outside in the world. What is constant stays constant, it cannot be changed, and where there is no change, there is no time.

  2. Ha!
Oh boy, smilecalm, thanks for taking a moment to spice up my morning!
I’ve seen the face of a clock which has the word “now” instead of numbers. Maybe that’s one way to make each moment longer?? πŸ™‚

  3. Line, thanks for your thoughts. you’ve helped me think about time a little differently. Yes, time is an illusion and something we’ve created to try to understand how (and when) things change. I’m starting to believe that “constant” is also an illusion, since I can’t seem to notice much which doesn’t change.

  4. Now that is funny smile calm!
As long as we live in our bodies and interact with other human beings, time is a helpful tool to navigate in this world.
Like all tools, it helps to get some skills training on how to use it well.
